We Support Orphans Education
We Support Orphans Education
An orphan is a child under 18 years of age who has lost one or both parents to any cause of death. There are nearly 140 million orphans globally. This large figure represents not only children who have lost both parents, but also those who have lost a father but have a surviving mother or have lost their mother but have a surviving father who battle to put his family out of poverty. Poverty and education are inextricably linked, because people living in poverty may stop going to school so they can work, which leaves them without literacy and numeracy skills they need to further their careers. Their children, in turn, are in a similar situation years later, with little income and few options but to leave school and work. Sukhi through its experience has learnt that if we support the education of a deprived child, it would provide a better future for the whole family.
Sukhi aims to provide educational opportunities both for orphans and poor children, especially girls, to be enrolled in schools to complete their education. We accomplish this by providing orphans and poor students with school bags, books, uniforms, stationery etc. Sukhi’s Orphan Support Program targets the orphan and poor children who are unable to continue their education due to poverty and orphanhood. Under the Orphan Support Program Sukhi is also planning to introduce a scholarship program funding the education of children of poor widows right through secondary education, and beyond for those who wish to go into higher education. With your financial support, the orphan children are empowered to pursue their dream of education and pave a path toward a stable, secure and economically viable future.
OUR MISSION
Our Programs
Clean Environment
We intend to promote an energy efficient and environment friendly fuel-wood stove for household use in the hilly areas of Pakistan administered Kashmir.
Help Disables
Meeting the complex needs of a person with a disability can put the families under a great deal of stress; emotional, financial, and sometimes even physical.
Widows & Poor Women
For widows and underprivileged women, life is challenging with no opportunity to work, no child care help and living in shelters or improvised homes.
Support Orphans
Sukhi aims to provide educational opportunities both for orphans and poor children, especially girls, to be enrolled in schools to complete their education.
